Thankfulness

Have you heard? It’s November! And since I’m not participating in NaNoWriMo, and IHO of Thanksgiving, I am going to use this month to bombard my blog with all the things I’m thankful for.

If you’re feeling similarly inspired, feel free to play along and link back with any thankfulness posts of your own throughout the month!

DAY 1.

I am thankful for my tech-savvy husband who just spent nearly 45 minutes helping me fix my site. It was acting wonky for reasons that were totally my own fault and he fixed it! Of course, I’m thankful for him for many other reasons. Particularly for the whole loving me and marrying me and spawning with me thing.

Are you participating in NaNo or any other fun thing in November? And MOST IMPORTANTLY–what do you think of my new site??

Wow! The site DOES look great! And I’m excited because it looks like you’re going to be posting more now. 😀

You’ll be happy to know I’m in the middle of listening to Landline. I’m really enjoying it except I’m shocked at the number of passive verbs she uses! Everyone “was” doing something. It’s always interesting to see rules like that broken because then I want to throw my hands up and say “what’s the point of trying to follow all these stupid rules!!!”

Can you tell I’m in irritated revision mode?

Thanks! I really like the new design. 🙂

And I think it’s interesting how much of that you can pick up on when you listen to a book instead of reading it! It’s sooo hard to read something as a writer and NOT overanalyze all the authorial choices. Similar for movies. I try not to do it because sometimes it ruins the experience, but my writer brain still takes over.
