1. How I did on last week’s goals.
My goal was to write another 4,680 words, and AGAIN I surpassed it! OK, so not by a whole lot. I wrote 26 words more than I planned, so 4,706, for a total word count of 32,186.
2. My goal(s) for this week.
4,680 words, for a total WIP word count of 36,866
3. A favorite line from my story OR one word/phrase that sums up what I wrote/revised.
Said by Mick, the MC’s movie star love interest: “Have you been enjoying the city so far? It’s horrible weather but you know, the people are nicer here. They put gravy on french fries, which I don’t eat, but I mean, I love that they do it. I respect it. It’s so, In your face, Ketchup. Right?”
4. The biggest challenge I faced this week (ex. finding time to write).
This week completely got away from me. Baby and a migraine and lack of sleep–I didn’t even touch my WIP until Friday night. Normally, I’d accept it as a bad writing week, but the shame of publicly admitting horrible failure changed my tune, so I worked double-time on Saturday and Sunday to meet my word goal!
5. Something I love about my WiP.
Yari Borg. It’s a made-up canceled TV show, a romantic comedy about cyborgs homesteading in the Siberian wilderness. Every time I read that description it makes me chuckle.
So, how did YOU do this week, writing or otherwise?
